Asset not depriciated , even though date of capitalization is filled.

What can be the possible reason.

Hello ,

Check operating depreciation start date. also check whether that falls in your depreciation run date.

Hi Rudra,

Any error log (once you select error ananlysis option)you are getting that can help understand? You can also recheck the depreciation key settings. Check the period for which you are running the depreciation vs the period of capitalization.

Depriciation is run each monthend. The asset is capitalised long back in 2008. So what to check in this case. Why it has not been picked in any depriciation run till now?

Hi,

Actaully the depricaiting of asset depends on O Depriciation start date not on captilisation date. So please goto Depriciation area tab in AS02 and check what date was giving in depriciation start date against your depriciation area 01 (book depriciation).

Hi,

Can you check the following-

If the asset has been blocked

Depreciation key has been correctly maintained

Check the depreciation start date

The asset has proper acquisition and planed values displayed in AW01N

Try repost option in AFAB from the capitalization period and also see if you can get some error log for the depreciation run.

How to see whether the asset is blocked? AFAB does not pick this asset and there are no logs.

The dates are as below

Capitalized on 22.10.2009

O dep start

Book deprec. 01.10.2009

Local Book D 01.11.2009

Please advise.

Dear,

Please check the log in AFBP ,after excuting the transaction select the Log of schedule manager option.

system will show the logs.

Note : if the asset is deactivated ? in the asset master data - Dep tab. just check it Deact option if any body select that option.
