approval procedure query - DocStatus

Hi,

I'd like to make a approval procedure query - watching the DocStatus. It should check if the staff is trying to close a document.

I tried: SELECT Distinct 'True' FROM ORDR T0 WHERE $[ordr.DocStatus] = 'C'

But it won't work.

thank you

Hi together,

thank you for your fast reply.
The Authorisation would be to strong and the SP Transaction Notification seems to me like black magic. 😉

The problem is that I need a control-function which makes it possible to say yes or no for closing the document. It seems to me that the SP Transaction Notification "would only" block it. Is it possible to inform someone else about it?

There is no system function supporting your goal. If you want exactly the process, a SDK add-on is mandatory.

Hi,

Approval is only working for creating document. Even update may not be supported. You may try SP_TN to block such action if you need.

Thanks,

Hi.......

This is not possible through Approval Procedure, But you may surely stop users to close it manually by using SP Transaction Notification......

Hi

This query wont work.

because, the docsatus can be changed only by user or by following document.

So,the status is updated into the table at backend and it wont be stay on screen while posting target documents or manually close by user.

Thats why your query could not get the onscreen value.

but you can control this through Authorisation

revert me for any clarifications.
