Any way to change Exchange Rate Type when running valuation via TPM1?

Hi Experts:

When running TBB4 it allows changing the Exchange Rate Type (I can change from M to B)

Is there any way to do the same when running valuation via TPM1?

Client uses M as Exchange rate type which is the market exchange rate (even at the last day of each month). But they want to valuate with another Exchange Rate Type (lets call it B which has the Central Bank exchange rate used for legal purposes)

thanks in advance

Claudio

Hi Claudio,

you can customize it in steps for Key Date Valuation.

Hi Tomislav:

Can you give me the entire route via spro (is it in Fi or in FSCM) cause in Key Date Valuation via Accounting only get Define Update Types and Assign Usages.

Hi Claudio,

in one step above, where you define valuation procedures (depending on what you valuate):

-> Settings for Position Management

-> Key Date Valuation

-> Define Foreign Currency Valuation Procedure or

-> Define Price Valuation Procedure for Forward Exchange Transactions

Hi Tomislav, thank you for your quick answer.

I have forgot an important detail, only the company codes of a specific country will use B exchange rate type but the others will use M (i have many others company codes belonging to may other countries)

Following your advice i will need to customize an specific PMP for this country different from the others (or is there any other possible solution?)

What I saw is that TBB4 allows to select Exch rate type without needing a specific customization.

Do i have any other "no-customizing" solution

Hi,

As Tomislav pointed out, this is the only way perhaps because TPM1 is for valuation which is governed by the valuation rules specified in the position management procedure (PMP). Hence for your requirement, as you said, you can define a new PMP and assign them to your company code which is required. The other ones will continue to use the old company code.
