Alternative UoM is not used in reservation

Hello SAP Gurus,

Could you please help me with an issue regarding alternative unit of measure.

In our solution when user create a PM order the system automatically generates a reservation.

So in my case user had created an order where he indicated a alternative UoM (eg. 2 PCs), the base Uom is Pack (1 Pack = 20 PCs). So we expected, that reservation will be created for 0,1 Pack. However reservation has been created for 1 Pack.

Now I'm not sure is the problem with decimals or with something else?

Maybe someone of you has faced with such type of problem?

In which transaction did you check?

did you already look at table level in RESB?

Is this an old reservation and the material mater conversion rates could have been changed after the creation of the reservation?

Do you have  a rounding or a rounding profile maintained in material master?

Hello Juergen,

Thanks for your reply. I've checked reservation in transaction MB23.

Yes, I've looked in RESB, it has the 1 Pack there, and entered quantity is 2 Pcs.

The PM order was created last year the same time and alternative was created yesterday.

No, we doesn't have roundings.

If the alternative was created yesterday then how could it have been used last year already in a PM order?

Check your change history in material master, if the alternative unit was created yesterday then it must have been removed in the past and had probably also a wrong conversion rate
