hi,

1. *Use of Alternate Cost Center Hierarchy*: It is used to group cost centers according to your internal reporting requirements alternative hierachy is also known as "Master Data Group"

2. How to Create it- Go to ksh1 screen

3. How to Assign Cost centers to it- ks01 when creation of cost center you wil find Hirachy area

4. How to post values in it- You can not post to the hierachy If you post to the cost centers you can see values in hierachy

Hi,

1. Think of different reporting needs in your (or your customers) company, e.g. someone wants to know what costs occured in all administration costs centers and someone else wants to know what costs occured in region A and D. Your standard hierarchy might be set up according to the legal structure (companies/legal entities). Instead of choosing single cost centers in your reports you're able to use the alternate CC-groups.

2. KAH1

3. you'll find out when using KAH1

4. you only post to the cost centers not to the hierarchy (group)

Hi,

The correct transaction is KSH1. The posting is done on cost centres themselves, never on the hierarchy (standard or alternative). The hierarchy is just a way of groupping cost centres for reporting and allocation purposes. When executing a standard report for cost centres, you are free to choose in which hierarchy they would be presented.
