Hi sd gurus,

Pls explain me how we manage alternate calculation type.

Q. The caluculation type for k007 is percentage, then what happens if we give alternate cal type as amount in pricing schema. My doubt is instead of using alternate cal type, we can make changes in condition type control data na.

Hi,

Alt calculation type in pricing Schema there we have to specify the formula basing on that system has to calculate the value for a particular condition type there Abaper create a routine it's abap coded program for that he will give a no that we have to specify the no then system wont considers the value maintained for a condition type it will calculates the value for tha condition type basing on formula specified in that routine.

In the condition type - calculation type is provided by which system does the caculation eg. percentage, fixed amount etc.

However alt c-type is used when there is a req in the business which would involve a formula and the standart calculation type is not sufficient.

Example: A company has defined minimum prices for materials. When a material is sold, it should not be sold for a price below the predefined minimum price. When pricing is done for a sales document line item, if the net price of the item falls below the minimum, the system should automatically compute a surcharge to bring the price up to the minimum price. To accomplish this, the user would define the minimum prices using the condition type PMIN. PMIN would be defined in the pricing procedure and condition value formula '15' would be assigned. Using the formula, the system compares the minimum price with the net price calculated to that point in the pricing procedure. If the minimum price is not met, the system computes the necessary surcharge and assigns it to the PMIN condition line.

hi,

if you give the alternative condition type in the pricing schema, the system will consider the the calculation type mentioned in the pricing rather than which you specified in the condition type

pls reward points if the answer is helpful
