Allocate products to Distribution channels by percentage not Quantity

Hello Dears, 
My client has a Pain point that when products are produced, representative comes first has edge to load quantity he wants with no considerations for another Reps . He needs to constrains this by SAP System but not by quantity he need it by percentage. He does not want product allocations as follows if for example he produces 1000 pcs daily 
Dist.Channel 1 : 500 PCS
Dist.Channel 2 : 300 PCS 
Dist.channel 3 : 200 PCS 

Production is not a fixed quantity daily , so he needs it to be for example: 
Dist.channel 1 : 50 % 
Dist.channel 2 : 30 % 
Dist.channel 3 : 20 % 

so does anything in SAP Standards fit this requirement ?

Hi,

the Product Allocation works with quantities and not with percentages. In case you want would like to work with percentages, you would need to calculate the number and put this number into the time bucket of the planning data. There are basically two ways to achieve this:

1. API to update the PAL planning data
2. Excel up/download

The background why percentage is not supported is the following: When taking your example, it is straight forward to apply the percentage on top of the 1000pc and come to 500pc etc. Furthermore, when increasing the quantity from 1000pc to 2000pc, it would also make not such an issue, since 50% would increase the number to 1000pc. The trouble starts when for example reducing the overall quantity. In such a case you would start with 1000pc and let us say your Distribution Channel 3 has already a confirmation over 150pc (translating to 15%). You reduce your 1000pc to 700pc since 200pc had for instance to be scrapped. According to your percentage vice planning you would need to completely check all requirements again and correct the confirmations as 20% is no longer 200pc but 140pc. Hence, a over confirmation in the respective time bucket of Distribution Channel 3 exists. 

Additionally you run into situation where the percentage lead to fractions that cannot be confirmed. Think of an example where you want 14% of 457pc. This is 63,98pc.
