AFAB - Depreciation Run

Hi Gurus,

We are implementing assets and we used t-code AS91 put in all the assets values for the year 2008 i.e. accum. dep for 2008 & aquisition value.

When I am running AFAB to post depreciation for 2009 I am getting a message :the are no area's to post in company code XXXX:

Message number AA 690.

Can someone help ??? It seems like something is missing in customizing but I am not sure where??

The status of company code was set to testing to allow legacy data - needed to change it to complete. Then only depreciation can run.

Hi,

Please use OAYR (transaction in IMG) to check whether you have set the posting rules for the corresponding company code.

Please check your IMG consistency. Go to IMG Asset Accounting > Preparing fo rproductionstart up >Check Consistency. If you get any error, just rectify it. To resolve this problem, check your table entries for depreciation run. Go to SE16 and table TABA and check the documents status. If document posted has field XBUKZ = "X", it means it is posted, if it is "N", means it is yet to be posted. If it is blank, you have to check weather it is posted in financial accounts or not.

Also go to table T093d and find out the last dep. posted period. Still you find all ok, then go to Dep run "AFAB", select the "Repeat

Run" and execute the program. First take this run in Test mode and after your satisfaction, take this in production run

I have checked OAYR (transaction in IMG) and the posting rules for the corresponding company code are defined correctly.

Check Consistency - there are some errors but nothing to so with the company code i am having issues with.

I checked table entries for depreciation run TABA but there are not entries found here.I also went to table T093d but it does not show last dep run.

I have tried to run this in in test mode I am getting results when running in test mode. It shows the depreciation amount to post, but when i am running the background and I go to SM37 it shows the run completed. But then when i go to the asset values I am not seeing the dep. posted?

Hi

Check with your asset accounting configuration, define depreciation areas for asset classes.

As you are getting the error no areas to post in company code, do that step so that your issue will be resolved.
