Adding standard fields to structure/iView

Hello,

Is there a way to identify as to which structures a new standard field may be added by configuration in T588MPROPC table versus which ones need customization? I see that several standard fields on various Infotypes even after being added to the PROPC table do not show up on custom extension fields. For example COM01 on IT6, KDSVH on IT21 etc. Even after adding these fields to the PROPC tables I do not see them show up on custom extension fields. Can these be added only via code changes? Or is it because we are on EhP 0?

We are on Version 600, EhP 0, SP 18 of BASIS and ABAP & SP 48 of HR**

Hi,

I think you will need to ensure that they are added into the customer include for the structure you are using.

as per the standards for customer includes, the field need to start ZZ - so then you will need to use the BAdI's which are used in the conversion classes to map from the standard field to the customer one - and back again.

Hopefully this gives you at least something to search on!

Hello Everyone,

Let me check if I understood: the only way of showing extra standard fields in ESS screens (like contact name in Emergency Contacts) is creating them again as ZZ fields ?

After adding custom fields that are actually mapped to standard ones, then they will show on Edit custom Fields on iview customizing, right?

Let me know if there's any other option of showing standard fields on ESS.
