ABUMN: Planned depreciation not adjusted after asset transfer

Former Member

Hi,

I'm transfering an asset (ABUMN) from asset class A to B. Asset class A has a useful life of 2 years and B has 3. The asset in asset class A has a capitalization date of 01.30.2008 and an accumulated depreciation until 04.30.2008. When I process the transfer to the new asset (already created with the same depreciation key but without adquisition value), and using a reference date of 01.30.2008, and posting date of 05.31.2008(current period), the new depreciation value in the new asset is correct, but my client wants that the difference between the previous planned depreciation and the new planned depreciation (in the new asset) has to be adjusted in the first depreciation period (05/2008) of the new transfered asset. How can I accomplish this request? What do I have to change in the depreciation key to make this work ?

Thanks in advance

jrlee

Hello Jose,

as far as I understand the system will correct the depreciation in 05/2008 - except the depreciation runs from 04 / 03 / 02 have not been carried out. Pls. check the tabs planned values/posted values in as03. I have posted such a transaction in my testsystem and everything seems correct...

Best regards
