Dear everyone,

I have a problem about F1 help, please help.

Our customer said, if he press F1 in the PR's screen for a field, there is just a pop-up window which is just white and without any text and explain even without a title.

and we looked at in our side, there is no problem. Could anyone tell me how to resolve the problem?

Thanks.

Regards,

Benny

Dear Prabhu,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I don't think that's the point, because that just changes the mode of display, and the issue is that customer can't see anything through F1, and we can in the same mode.

I'm getting the same issue and able see the details in Modal dialog box. But does anyone know how to fix the issue and see it in Performance assistant itself? Since the formatting is different.

Please try to confirm the blanc of check box of the "Multi-monitor scaling awareness" of Visual Design>Theme Selection on SAP GUI options.

Hi Benny,

This is very peculiar problem. I am sure because I have faced this myself. Your client must have installed Internet Explorer 7.0.

IE 7.0 has some bug that SAP cannot work with it. All the F1 screens will be blank. There is a SAP note to over come this problem. You may search for the note number. Rather simple solution will be:

If he is using IE 7.0 ask him to go back to IE 6.0 and try again. This helped me.

Dear Vishal,

Thanks very much, and I think that would be the reason, and we would ask customer to confirm that.

Dear Vishal,

I checked the NOTE and found that if the IE 7.0 is installed, the GUI version should be the version in the list below or higher:

o SAP GUI for Windows 6.20 Patchlevel 64

o SAP GUI for Windows 6.40 Patchlevel 20

o SAP GUI for Windows 7.10

And I checked our version is 640, Patchlevel 18, would this version not reach the one that mentioned above?

Hope for your help.

Benny

Hi Benny,

As you can see note says, for 6.40 patch level should be 20. While what you have is 18. Hence, I would resuggest that simplest solution is to use IE 6.0.

I dont think there should be any major issues with using IE 6.0 instead of 7.0.
