101 movement

Dear All,

We are into process industry and using SAP ECC 6.

In one BOM there are saveral other FGs as component as output. During process order confirmation it shows as by-product i.e. 531 movement.

We required some of them can allow 101 movement.

Will I have create new BOM for that FG or is it possible in existing BOM ?

Hi,

Create material code with batch management for XYZ . While confirming this material you can managed this material in batches i.e. XYZ LG or XYZ HG as when it produces. Movement type (101) will remain  same for spillted material.

for this component maintain the co product tick and  in header material maintain the apportionment structure based on the value proportion and  In BOM for that particular component  maintain Co product tick in item detail

During GR you will get the all the coproduct and header material with 101 movement

Note: For coproduct scenario auto GR is not possible, you can do the GR in MIGO or MB31

Aprt from Coproduct you can't get the other component in 101 movement, it will take the 531 movement only ( system will consider as a By product)

Thanks all for you reply.

Just I wanted to say why we required such scenario.

For example we have FG Product XYZ.

We are preparing process order for XYZ. After confirming process order GR thru 101 movement will take and appropriate excise register get updated.

Now suppose some customer required XYZ product with additional grade or lower grade. say FG product XYZ LG.

As and when required we produce this product.

Now our requiredment is when production department confirms the product XYZ and if any requirement of XYZ LG from customer they  also want to show the production of XYZ LG with 101 movement.

create a seperate material code for  XYZ LG and create a seperate process order and do the 101 movement.

In that case either you need to go as suggested by Mr Sundaresan or do split valuation of same material with two valaution type like HG or LG and while doing confirmation you can decide whether it should go to LG or HG and same can be done while delivering to customer. Check with MM consultant.

     We also have the same requirements..But we use QM to do this determination...After Process order is completed,we transfer the stock of XYZ to inspection stock.QM will inspect it and if 50%of them are XYZ LG,we can change it to XYZ LG...

    If you don't use QM,you can use movement type 309 to make it..First,receive the PO 100 kg to stock.Second,if 30% of them are low grade,then using 309 to move 30kg to XYZ LG..

Hi,

It is not possible with the same BOM items. First you have to mark the materials as co-product in MRP2 screen of the material master. Then you have to mark co-product indicator when you enter materials as new items to BOMs, and components should have negative quantities. You can crete new items in existing BOMs or production orders.

Hi Nirav,

As per my understanding on your question,

In standard SAP, irresepective of the FG's present as components in BOM, during confirmation 101 (GR) will be done only for the header material. Please explain your scenario in detail, so that experts can help you. Revert back in case of any queries.

Hi,

It is not possible to get one more FG thru 101 mvt type. Since components are assigned as by-product, not possible to get from the existing BOM.
