Tips for taking S/4HANA Certified Technology Assoc...

Exam C_S4IMP_1511 - SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA 1511 is my 20th SAP certification (41st overall certification exam passed) and was a different experience from all previous ones taken through certification centers. I could plan and take exam at short notice on same day.

In this blog I would like to how to book, and take the exam and the certification tests available.

STEP1 - PURCHASE SUBSCRIPTION: First check Available certification exams in the cloud. Click on View Global Certifications. At the end there is a link for Soon to expire Certifications and the dates. There is an excellent step by step blog - Take your SAP Certification Exams in the Cloud. I subscribed to Certification Hub for USD550 which allows you to book 6 exams in a period of one year. You can take one exam max. 3 times. Add to basket item “CER006 – SAP Certification in the Cloud” and checkout then wait for email (took 2hrs).

STEP2 – PREPARATION: Refer above blog, login to Certification Hub, Click on Video for Preparing for an Online Proctored Exam (SAP), Click on Link for Questionmark Secure browser and download to install it. Click on button Conduct System Test to do system test so any issues can be resolved. I was prompted to exit snagit and also close taskbar.

STEP 3 – SCHEDULE EXAM: https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/
Log on (SAP I-number, replaced I with 01) on TopRight Click ≡ 3 bars on TopRight and select Access purchased subscriptions. Click on Access SAP Cloud Certification. You can click on Exam Dashboard to select and schedule the exam.

STEP 4: TAKE EXAM: https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/
Log on and on TopRight select Access purchased subscriptions. Click on Access SAP Cloud Certification. Click on Exam Appointments, select and take exam.

You can only take exam when link is available - about 15 mins before scheduled time. There is a link at the bottom to Chat with an Expert. They will inform you if its busy and you have to wait but exam may not be available after certain time has passed from scheduled time.

After exam starts the proctor watches you very closely and I heard some beeps as proctor is changed. Once I finished I clicked submit button so it displayed my score but unlike any of the previous exams, transcript vanishes after you disconnect. After 2 days I received email to download pdf file and have opened ticket for transcript.

For SAP Internal folks or some corporate laptops:

Please go to Control Panel --> Flash Player, 

Select "Global Settings"

Click "Camera and Mic" tab, 

Click "Camera and Mic settings by site" button, add:

onlineproctornow.megameeting.com

systemtest.onlineproctornow.com

meeting.onlineproctornow.com            Set those sites to "Allow"

TIPS: These are some of the tips for you to prepare well for the exam.

There are sample questions for each of the exams.

For S/4HANA Technology exam - Prepare all topics well, if you just know New Implementation or System Conversion its not good enough, you must know all 3 scenarios.

Prepare each transition scenario well in detail if for e.g. which scenario to use Data Services which scenario to use Landscape Transformation Server.

Get to know detail on each of the phases of Implementation and what are the tasks at each stage.

Detailed Knowledge about each accelerator is important.

For conversion process you have to know DMO/SUM as well as classical migration.

Knowledge of Lifecycle Management is important.
