There’s no doubt that companies are rethinking how to identify, develop and retain talent in order to improve business outcomes.

A recent study found that 71% of companies believe their performance management is ineffective.  It’s no surprise that more and more organizations tell us that their approach to performance management no longer aligns with the needs of their employees and business.

At the same time, faced with today’s skills shortage and shrinking budgets, companies are particularly challenged to attract and retain the highly-skilled workforce they need to achieve their business goals.  In fact, recent research found that 66% of organizations have problems attracting skilled talent and 41% of organizations have problems retaining these employees.

To compete and win in today’s increasingly competitive and rapidly changing market, improving productivity, cultivating talent continuity and increasing employee engagement in ways that drive real business results are imperative.

As a result, companies are focused now more than ever on how to motivate employees to perform at their best, align their performance management and compensation programs with business objectives, and enable effective succession planning at all levels of the organization to support future growth.

I am pleased to share that at SuccessConnect 2016, SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development, will take center stage as customers, partners, and industry thought leaders come together to share forward-looking ideas, innovative best practices, and expert suggestions on winning through talent management.

How Fluor Corporation Embraced a Big Change with Performance Management Without Ratings

In this session you’ll learn how Fluor Corporation, one of the world’s largest publicly traded engineering, construction, and project management companies, turned its performance management process into a streamlined, state-of-the-art performance system. The Fluor HR team studied dozens of performance systems to create a customized, bold new process that, for the first time, eliminated overall performance ratings, linked employee performance goals to company objectives, established a common four-month review window, and refocused manager and employee discussions on helping others succeed. Transformational Talent Engagement in Small Enterprises

Prior to implementing the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals solutions, Parallels, Storm Industries, and Elbit Systems of America managed their talent through an extensive and time-consuming paper-based performance cycle with little to no tie-in into development plans. This in turn created a workforce that was unable to chart a path for success or gain a clear understanding of the expectations of individual roles and how the organization would be able to assist in individual development. Join us for a panel discussion with Parallels, Storm Industries, and Elbit Systems of America to hear how they were able to realize a far more engaged employee base through the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals.

From Paper to Progress:  Migrating Performance and Compensation Processes to the Cloud

Prior to this year, Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) was drowning in a performance and compensation cycle that consisted of manually updating spreadsheets, physically scanning hundreds of paper performance reviews over a period of several months, and zero traceability. Employee and manager engagement was low, and consistency from year to year was nonexistent. Enter SAP SuccessFactors solutions, where after a lengthy planning and implementation process, the HR team at PEC was able to move the performance and compensation cycle into the cloud and take advantage of all of its benefits. They are now able to review and track their apprenticeship program from month to month, have complete insight into where employees and managers are in the cycle, and have actual goal tracking. Hear PEC's story of paper to progress, with the SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals and SAP SuccessFactors Compensation solutions.
