Hard copy or PDF documents are and will continue to be essential for recording business activity and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. The company’s documents are the reflection of it’s essence and DNA. We invest in designing representative print layout and review the content to ensure it is accurate. But what about the document language? If you have vendors or customers in various countries, you can adjust their documents to their languages by setting the required translation to the relevant elements in the default print layout created in SAP Crystal Reports:
In the “Default Elements for SAP Crystal Reports - Setup” window you’ll find over 50 common elements to which you can define translation in any language, and add additional elements as needed. All the predefined terms are available by default in both English and German. In each document, you can define the document language, e.g. to fit the BP language:
If you created new elements, make sure to add them to the relevant print layout and set it as default for the given document. Now, when you print or generate a PDF, the translated elements would appear in the document language. For more details, watch this mini training session.
