New UI for the Enter Group Reporting Data app
--
In the 2005 release, you can now benefit from a significantly improved UI of our Enter Group Reporting Data app in SAP Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC). The new report format is more elegant and provides you with a better readability: titles are in dark blue, rows in white, totals in light blue, updated amounts now appear in blue, unnecessary columns are removed, and fonts all homogenized. The UI is clearer than before, we removed useless margins, set nice white background colors and changed the report icon. In addition, the report now displays less characteristics in the context bar which simplifies the report and enhances its global visibility. You can also easily switch to the full screen mode to further enlarge your report, and work with 23 columns x 24 rows display (see the screenshot below). With this new UI, you now have more space to work and entering data is much smoother.

Consolidation of Investments data entry report
--
With the 2005 release, in addition to file upload, it’s now possible to enter investment data needed for Consolidation of Investments (C/I) activities in a dedicated C/I data entry report. In the C/I data entry report you can manually enter investment data, complete / correct the investment data if previously uploaded and retrieve investment data previously uploaded (see the screenshot above):
- The “Posting date” is selected through a calendar when entering C/I data
- The amount in local currency is entered in the "LC" column
- The ownership % is entered in the "QU" column
The dedicated C/I document types are the following:
- 0B - C/I data uploaded by file
- 0G - C/I data uploaded via API
- 0A - C/I data manually entered
You can use the Define Forms and Reports app to create your C/I data entry report. In the report Properties tab, new Periodic data entry mode is now available to enable the data entry for C/I. In the Axis Definition tab, four specific characteristics are now available and dedicated to C/I: Investment Activity Number, Investee Unit, Investment Activity and Posting Date, as depicted in the screenshot below. In the Grid Definition tab, a new selection method is available (“All values”) and can be used for Investment Activity and Subitem.

When you use SAP S/4HANA Accounting general ledger as a source for your consolidation, and need to transform and load data from ACDOCA to ACDOCU, starting our 2005 release you can now use SAP’s pre-delivered templates in Define Data Mapping app (see the screenshot above):
- Click the button Download Template and choose “For ACDOCA Mapping”
- The pre-mapping is provided in tabs of the Excel template file
In addition, it is now possible to create custom template files in the Define Data Mapping app so that all users can start from these custom templates. As depicted in the screenshot below, you can click on the Access Templates button and choose the Manage Custom Templates option.

Substitution and validation in journal entries
--
When creating group journal entries, the system performs checks to make sure that the data is complete and correct. Substitution and validation can be used to automatically fill fields, substitute or validate field values, depending on defined preconditions and rules. With release 2005, you can use the "Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Journal Entries" app to define such substitution and/or validation rules. With this app, you can display, change, and create substitution and validation rules for your selected business contexts and events. These rules can be used in the respective business processes to validate, derive or replace values at the time of entry for the relevant fields.
You can find more information on
Rules for Substitution/Validation in our SAP Help portal.

Attachments in the Post Journal Entries app
--
In the 2005 release, you can now use attachments in group journal entries to better explain your manual entry and streamline the communications by accompanying your entry with a relevant set of documents. You can attach either an URL with a description of the target link‘s location, or files from your disk and/or local storage (.docx, .xlsx, .pdf, .png, .xml, .txt). To ensure security, attachments are stored in SAP S/4HANA Secure Attachment service.
