I am proud to lead the team and contribute the main part of the SAP ERP 6.0 conversion to S/4HANA program in North and Latin America. The program called SAP 10Steps2S4 - Americas and is delivered 100% virtual. Since 2017 we run the program already 5 times, The SAP Partner teams with 1443 participants completed 90 ERP 6.0 system conversions to S/4HANA. The next sessions are planned in June and September 2019.
The objective of the SAP 10Steps2S4 program is to gain hands-on experience in converting a SAP ERP 6.0 to S/4HANA. In this program the teams will be guided through the conversion process steps and work packages to execute on their own real-life landscape. SAP provides the infrastructure and the access.
During 2 weeks the teams connect to the system landscape and work remote on the conversion.
There are 2 main phases in the 10Steps2S4 program: Preparation and Realization
Preparation Phase
In the preparation phase the teams analyze the customer circumstances with the
SAP Readiness Check and the
SAP Maintenance planner.
Pre-Checks
The pre-checks supports the team with the required activities what needs to be done before the realization phase. for example the
CVI - Customer vender integration needs to be activated and all customer, vendor need to be migrated to the new BP Business Partner functionality.
Custom Code
The Custom Code preparation including creating an adjustment plan could be depends on the amount of development very important and time consuming.
Realization Phase
After completing the preparation phase the teams execute the technical conversion with the
SUM Software Update Manager including the DMO (Database Migration Option). There are 3 tasks, migrate the database to SAP HANA, update the Software to S4 and convert the data to the new data model.
After the technical conversion the teams gain Fiori skills, how to configure and and activate the
Fiori Launchpad and Fiori Apps.
The participants appreciate the hands-on exercises, the support of guiding through the conversion process and gaining the Fiori skills.
