In the last months we took a closer look on 9 use cases for the SAP S/4HANA 1610 shipment, from Finance to PLM, from Procurement to advanced Available to Promise (ATP) and of course to the SAP user interface, SAP Fiori.

We covered these and more topics, always from 2 different perspectives, the BUSINESS benefit view (a) and the TECHNOLOGY view (b). These use cases explain best how SAP S/4HANA 1610 supports you on your digital transformation journey, including of course all innovations and enhancements of the previous 1511 release. If you are interested to see all the different topics at a glance, take a look at the collection of the 1610 use case series.

In the next use case series, we will have a look behind the innovations in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and we will talk about the latest offering in financial and manufacturing management applications in the cloud. This means, that the tradition of use case series will take the next step, into the cloud.
Questions like, how exactly SAP S/4HANA Cloud can contribute to drive the digital transformation and what the effect of the new environment with all its disruptive technologies and trends like segment of one or subscription will have on organizations, will be addressed. In the following weeks, we will dive deeper into some possible use cases of SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Just to name some examples you can now leverage the internet of things and make fully use of connected manufacturing in order to deal with customization and lot size one, which in turn will give your customers a personalized experience.

We hope that the 1610 use case series was able to shed some light on the topics that you are interested in. If there are still open questions, do not hesitate to ask them in the comments below. We are looking forward to engage with you.
And if you are not already aware and are interested in learning more about the different paths to SAP S/4HANA, you can still check out the new openSAP course, called “Find your path to SAP S/4HANA”, which started last week and is about the three different transition scenarios to SAP S/4HANA.
