It's that time of the year when I need to present myself so here we are  Grinning face with smiling eyes

I'm Slaveya Petrova and my role is as Senior Product Owner for the Waste Management solution in S4/Hana EHS.

I started recently - at the beginning of the year, so up until now I've
been with the team for nearly 10 months🙂

Sustainability is a cause close to my heart, and I'm dedicated to integrating eco-conscious principles into my personal and professional life. Working as a product owner in S4/Waste Management gives me the opportunity to influence more caution about Corporate Social Responsibility, support our clients in being part of a sustainable business, and be compliant with their countries' laws and regulations

One of the challenges I faced in this role was getting up to speed on all the extensive functionalities our product already provides. I'm still learning, but to overcome such a dare, I have been in close collaboration with the rest of the product team members, we learn and support each
other in our day-to-day endeavors and I'm happy to say that they have my full trust and respect.

Apart from that, I'm most excited about working on the new features we're planning for our product. We are in close contact with our clients to understand their needs and pain points, so we can work toward better sustainability and corporate future

One of the topics we discussed with colleagues and you can see their responses is what advice any of us would give to someone who is interested in working in the software industry - my advice would be to be passionate about what you do, not only in the software industry but wherever you are.
Although it's a cliche I dare to say that I'm a strong supporter of the quote by Mark Twain “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. Working in the software is challenging but rewarding because you need to constantly learn, adapt, and overcome.

Bonus answer 1: What is your favorite feature of our product?

Honestly... I'm not sure that I can choose just one 😀I adore the fact that within SAP we have a standard product but our frameworks allow our customers to customize and adapt it to their particular needs - both for private and public cloud.

Bonus question/answer 2: Care to share a hobby or interest?

I am a very stay-at-home person and I enjoy the silence after a busy day or the very loud music I listen to while I train😀

and that's me
