Release Assessment & Scope Dependency – Enhancements in 2008

The Release Assessment and Scope Dependency tool provides updates on changes made to functionality of all product areas in S/4HANA Cloud. The tool has been updated with information for SAP S/4HANA Cloud release 2008.

Following are some of the main features introduced with this release,

• Navigation using hamburger menu


• Calendar appointment for important release dates


• Colour consistency across all pages of the tool


• ‘Feature status’ filter enabled with ‘All’ option


• Change categories toggle button enabled with ‘All’ button


• Search bar and download option enabled in Usage pages


• Link to ‘Road Map Explorer’ in Localization page

Hamburger Menu – This feature has been introduced across all pages in the tool. Clicking on the hamburger icon, would expand the main page thus providing more space to view the page content.Calendar appointment for important release dates–In the home page, Release Highlights sectiondisplays important dates pertaining to the current release. You can now download calendar appointments for these dates which could act as reminders. It also provides more insights on the quarterly upgradeprocess.Colour consistency across all pages of the tool – Change categories panel (visible in the home page) has standard colours now. These colours are retained as you traverse through the rest of the pages - By LoB, By Scope Item, By Change Categories and Localization Pages. Also, the colours displayed in the usage pages are unique and same throughout API, Apps, CDS and IAM Pages.

‘Feature status’ filter enabled with ‘All’ option - This filter is available in ‘By Lob’ and ‘By Change categories’ pages. The drop down now includes ‘All’ option which allows you to view new, changed and deprecated features all at once.

Change categories toggle button enabled with ‘All’ button – This feature is enabled across the following pages, By LoB, By Scope Item, By Change Categories and Localization Pages. ‘All’ button has been included so that the user could view all category changes together.

 

Search bar and download option enabled in Usage pages – With this release, users could identify changes for a particular App, CDS view, API or IAM object by making use of the search bar enabled in the FYI and FYA sections of all Usage pages. Download button has also been provided to download the content available in the FYI and FYA section.



Link to ‘Road Map Explorer’ in Localization page – A link to ‘Road Map Explorer’ has been provided in the Future Scope Items section in the Localization page, which provides insights on localization changes to be introduced in future releases.
