When you are creating a maintenance plan for service, you can click Do Not Release Immediately, so that the generated service orders have the open status. If you do not click this option, the generated service orders that contain no errors will have the released status. For details about this function, see the following video:



If you specify Completion Required, a service order is not generated until the previous service order is completed. When a maintenance plan has multiple maintenance items, service orders are not generated from a maintenance item until all the service orders of the previous maintenance item are completed with completion date updated. If you want to start generating service orders from a maintenance item, you can manually set the completion date for service orders generated from the previous maintenance item.
