It’s the common practice to set revenue accounts of a business as "Sales" accounts and yet, there are businesses and use cases where it is required to record revenues to accounts of different types.
To comply with the various business needs, SAP Business One enables you to define which types of accounts can serve as revenue accounts. By default, only accounts of “Sales” type are allowed. To enable the assignment of other accounts, select the checkbox “Allow Selection of Any Account Type for Revenue Accounts” in Administration > System Initialization > Company Details > Basic Initialization tab. As a result, when defining revenue accounts in G/L Account Determination, for warehouses, item groups, item master data, etc. you can choose any account without being limited to accounts of type “Sales”.
Available since SAP Business One 9.1, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.1
