Re-generate Documents based on a new Template Version

With the Re-generate function in SAP S/4HANA for Enterprise Contract Management you can restore a Virtual Document based on the latest version of a Template. In the case where a Virtual Document has been generated and there are changes to the Template you can re-generate the Virtual Document and have the option to either:

a) Restore with the old Template
b) Re-generate the document with the new Template

How:
If you open your document object in edit mode you will see a Restore button in the Version History facet. Select the version, click on Restore and then choose Re-generate the document with new template.



How to Re-generate a Legal Document


Conclusion:
The Re-generate function enables you to update Legal Documents very easily and you will save a lot of time because there is no need to create the Legal Document again.
