Every business that sells goods has its own unique method for assigning bar codes to the various items, but sometimes assigning a unique bar code for each item or even for each unit of measure of a given item is not enough. For example, in case you need to comply with multiple bar code standards. For this scenario and others, SAP Business One enables you to define for each item and each unit of measure multiple bar codes in the Bar Codes window, under the Inventory module.
Here, you can set a default bar code for each unit of measure which may be populated when creating a marketing document. If needed, you can open the list of defined bar codes from within the document row and assign a different bar code from the list. In addition it is possible to select bar code on a new document line, which will then automatically populate the corresponding item and all of its details.
Available since SAP Business One 9.0, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.0.
