When new employee (who is also a user) joins the business, there are so many settings and preferences to be defined. Previously SAP Business One introduced the User Groups that enable to define groups of users and assign to each group the relevant set of authorizations. Authorizations play a key part in defining the user role and responsibilities but there are additional aspects as well. With the newly added enhancements, you can apply the relevant type to each group and define additional parameters:
In the above example, applying the “Authorization” group type, enables you to define date range during which the assigned authorizations are valid - to the entire group and for specific users only. Other group types allow you to assign alerts, form settings and UI configuration templates to the whole group, accelerating the user setup process.
