This blog post is part of a series called “Tip of the Week”. In this week’s tip we’ll see how to manage UDFs, UDTs & UDOs once defined.
User-defined fields, tables and objects are essential and valuable customization elements, adding to (almost) every implementation the unique flavor of the given business. The Web Client delivered with SAP Business One considers these user-defined elements as integral part of the working environment and reflects it accordingly. If you have defined UDOs and UDTs in your SAP Business One, these will appear by default under dedicated categories on the home page, as well as in the Main Menu. Each UDT and UDO is represented by a dedicated tile:
Clicking the tile would open the respective list view, allowing you to leverage the built-in capabilities for your UDOs and UDTs:
The UDFs created for documents and master data objects are available in the dedicated list views as well. You can use them as filter fields in the filter bar and include them as columns in the list view table. When switching to chart view, UDFs can be used as measures and dimensions.
Available in the Web client for SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA PL00 and Web client for SAP Business One 10.0 PL01 for MS SQL users.
