Whether you are a big boss, team lead, or a fresh grad starting your first job, having a visual illustration of processes is always meaningful: it tells you exactly where you are and how to move forward. This is true for simple processes and much more important for complicated processes involving multiple steps and stakeholders. This is why SAP Business One brought you the Workbench widgets:
The workbench widgets which are part of the cockpit, illustrate the business processes followed by the company. Clicking the light blue icon opens a menu of common reports and functions related to the given step.
By default, four pre-defined workbenches are provided for sales, purchasing, financial, and inventory. Those can be added to the cockpit from within the widget gallery:
In addition, you can edit or create your own workbench widgets by using the Workbench Editor. More information is available in this How To Guide and official video.
