This blog post is part of a series called “Tip of the Week”. In this week's tip, I’m sharing with you new options for validity date of documents.
Every sales quotation holds a promise and a hope that another deal will soon be sealed. Although it is not a legal document, sales quotation does include terms and conditions, such as prices and discounts, within certain time frame. Once the "valid until" date passes, the sales quotation expires.
Since the "Valid Until" date is so important, SAP Business One automatically populates a date that is one month later than the posting date, and if needed user can always edit this date per specific use case. To enable companies defining default "Valid Until" date that is more suitable to their activity, new option is introduced in the "Document Settings" window:
By default, this field is set to 1 month, however it can be changed to different number of months, weeks, or days.
Available in SAP Business One 10.0 PL01 and SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA PL01.
I hope you found this information helpful and as always, I’m looking forward to your feedback in the comments section below. If you do have questions about SAP Business One, feel free to ask them here in
