You want to develop a side-by-side extension application of your SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution? A
new guide is available at
help.sap.com to show you how to achieve that using the SAP Cloud Platform.
Before you start, you need to prepare the environment. This consists of two phases:
Phase 1: Tenant Pairing (in blue)
You link the SAP S/4HANA Cloud tenant with the SAP Cloud Platform subaccount using single sign-on (SSO). In this way, the extension applications that are going to be deployed on SAP Cloud Platform subaccount will use the same user base as those in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud tenant. See
Phase 2: Connectivity (in green)
To set up the extension application, you have to configure the connectivity from the SAP Cloud Platform subaccount to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud tenant. See
You can choose one of the following authentication methods:
- Basic
- Client Certificate
- SAML Bearer Assertion
For SAP Cloud Platform Neo environment, you can also find all the specific settings you need to use SAP Web IDE to develop your extension application. See
Configuring SAP Web IDE.
