Search engines are fascinating and becoming more and more sophisticated. So much that if something is not found we tend to believe that it does not exist… One of the things that makes a search engine great is its ability to identify the most likely to be desired results amongst the possible results and show the user what she or he are really looking for. If you are using the Enterprise Search in SAP Business One version for SAP HANA, you can easily customize it to better fit your specific needs. Access the "Search Customization" window from the search box:

In the "Search Customization" window we see the default search scope and setup, focusing on "Business Partner" object. There are in total 397 fields in the listed tables while only 14 are included in the search scope. You can see that number of fields is updated to 15. Now, set your preferences for this field – should it be both searchable and visible? In the Field column you can rename it if needed, and in the Filterable column you can set whether to search results can be filtered by currency (according to field type, filter options may vary). Last but not least, choose the "Apply" button.

Searching for "EUR" brought all the business partners with BP Currency set to Euro, while searching for "000" which is part of business partners code, shows all relevant BPs while "Currency" can be used for filtering the results:
