This blog post is part of a series called “Tip of the Week”.
Journal entries. The backbone of bookkeeping and financial reporting. Some are very simple, others are extremely complicated, and all of them must be accurate. It's one thing when journal entries are created automatically, for example when adding a document – no need to worry… but when creating and adding journal entries manually? This is completely up to you!
Even if you did it million times before, can do it with eyes closed and hand tied behind your back, you could always use few more seconds for one last check - to make sure that your journal entry is 100% correct. For that reason SAP Business One added a new system message:
This message appears once you choose the "Add" button in the Journal Entry window. If you have the slightest doubt, you can use this pause, choose the "Cancel" button and review your journal entry once more.
If this is irrelevant, you can always select the "Do Not Show This Message Again" checkbox and continue with your regular course of work. You can change your preference at any time via the "Message Preferences - Setup" window.
Available in SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2008 and SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2008, version for SAP HANA.
