Introduction:
The MRP Stock/ Requirement list (MD04) and the MRP List (MD05) are accessed by users having various roles and responsibilities. A user can be a buyer or purchaser, an MRP controller or a production planner. According to these kinds of internal classifications of the users, the scope and the frequently used transaction sets are also different.
In MRP Reports like MD04 or MD05, it is possible to add frequently used transactions in the MD04 screen itself to provide ease of access and effective usage of the MRP evaluations.
Methods:
In this document, additions of such frequently used transactions are discussed:
(a) Navigation Profile:
Follow the IMG path SPRO – Production – Material Requirements Planning – Evaluation – Define Navigation Profile
Click on New Entries:
Save the data.
Select the Navigation profile and click on General Transaction calls folder:
Click on New Entries:
An example for MMBE is shown below:
Since one example of General Transaction is shown, let us define an example for MRP element type transaction (ME53N for PR’s).
Save the entry.
Since the Navigation Profile is now defined, we will use it by assigning the same.
In the MD04 screen, go to Environment -> Navigation Profile -> Assign:
Save the user setting.
When we double click on the Purchase Requisition, we get an extra button for the maintained transaction:
The same will be applied in MD05 automatically.
(b) Direct Addition:
In the MD04 screen, go to Environment -> Own favorites -> Maintain
Same settings as we maintained in case of General Transactions in Navigation Profile.
The icon will appear along with the General transactions.
Conclusion:
MRP Reports are very flexible and customizable as required.
More to Come:
In the next document, customization and work around for the period grouping will be discussed.
