Using NWDS with different java SDKs installed on PC

Former Member

Hello,

I have different SDK from java installed on my PC. (Java 1.4.1, 1.4.2, 1.5., 1.6.xx).

For the NWDS Version: 7.01.03 I have to use java 1.4.2.

Do I have to change the JAVA%HOME Pathvariable before I start the NWDS to the java 1.4.2?

Or can I set a startup parameter or a setting in NWDS, so that this NWDS use the java 1.4.2?

Best regards,

Nils

HI Nils,

you can add a parameter to specify the Java VM in the shortcut to be used by the SAP IDE:

"...\SapIde.exe" -vm "path_to_jdk_folder...\bin\javaw.exe"

Hi Peter,

thank you. However will this not only switch the runtime java. I have to switch the javacompiler?
