Function module to add ID type into BUT0ID table not working.

Hi all. We are trying to add data to the field "ID type" into the table BUT0ID. When we do it manually in the BP t-code, the data gets into the BUT0ID table. However, when the same is done through the use of Function Module(FM)- BUPA_IDENTIFICATION_ADD, the data does not get stored into the BUT0ID table. What could be the reason. Please provide a feasible solution.

Hi Sudhir,

Did you try to check, if the curser is going to below subroutines at the end of that FM ?

PERFORM ident_badi_call ON COMMIT.

PERFORM data_save ON COMMIT.

Hi Sudhir,

Maybe the change is in memory only. Can you try to execute FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT afterwards, to commit changes?

Kind regards,

Garcia

Hello Sudhir,

To add to Garcia's answer, you may consider passing value to WAIT parameter of FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Bruno,

I tried that transaction commit .........but in SE37 itself FM is not working.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Sudhir,

Here's one more try: Are you testing in SE37 as a single function module call? If so, just test it as 'Test sequence' (Menu->Function Module->Execute->Test sequences) where you indicate these two function modules, and then execute both.

Kind regards,

Garcia
