hi, experts ,

am working on Broadcast messages in CRM4.0 with webclient,

i can send BM messages in my production client , but when it comes to my QA clients it is not displaying ,

as i found that there is a port number in the URL , this port number is 8000 in my PROD client,

but in QA client i have 50000,

when i sent BM in prod client i can see the messages ,

so for the QA client i did change the port number for the URL and i used it , but no messages displayed,

regards

Hello Sreelatha,

You actually have to change the port and URL in the IMG configuration rather than in the called URL. You can find this under IMG activity Define Broadcast Messaging Profiles. You maintain the URL in the fields Broadcasting Applet Host Server and Port No.

Thanks for the reply ,

I already change the port number at IMG path and i did the transportation as well

for prod client i have 8000 port number , i did that

and for QA client i have 50000 port number , and i changed it ,

in the URL i changed the same port number

but after this , BM applet is crashing ,

before changes , it was worked in PROD, after the transport, even the applet is crashed

Hello Sree,

If it helps, in our systems we have this feature configured like this:

Host Applet: http://[mySAPJ2EEServer7]:[myPort]/BROADCAST
Port Number: 8000

If the host applet is different than yours, can you try it in there? You only have to change the port number to 50000.

Also, make sure you're using java sun 1.4.2, or else, you might find some inconsistencies in the applet normal behaviour.

One thing I didn't understand: In PROD system this was working, and now is not?

Kind regards.

Hello Sree,

I didn't know that BSP application bsp_broadcast, but from the page name 'cicbroad.htm', it seems related to Winclient.

Analysing only QA system, I see also something weird. Your IC Webclient port is 8000, but in your BM Applet the port is 50000. I'm no BASIS guy, but this doesn't seem correct to me to have different ports.

If you have the time, can you try in your QA (or DEV) system this configuration (with the brankets too and without the 7 digit wrongly typed in my last reply )?:

Host Applet: http://[mySAPJ2EEServer]:[myPort]/BROADCAST
Port Number: 8000

Then, try this:

- Run IC Webclient with an user that is assigned to a IC Webclient profile, with your Broadcast Messaging profile

In parallel:

- go to SE80 t-code

- Enter BSP Application CRM_BP

- Run default.htm page

Then create a distribution list, so that the user that logged on to Webclient is included, and send a message to that distribution list.

Can you tell me the result?

An important thing: make sure you're using JAVA 1.4.2 version in your Internet Explorer Java plugin.

Kind regards.

Bruno
