Does anybody information about how the approval process works for 'Leads' ? What is the business case for usage of approval on leads ?
I could not find any documentation in the help centre or elsewhere.
All inputs will be appreciated.
Approvals on Leads isn't a very typical use case, and hence isn't supported within C4C. Approvals are available for the following objects - Campaign, Opportunity, Sales Quote, Contract, Service Ticket.
You may know this already, but Leads are supported within Workflow Rules. Typical use cases here would be "Notifications" to relevant involved parties when Leads Qualification level changes, Lead owner changes etc., or automatic "Field Updates" for scenarios like Update Lead Qualification based on Lead Score related rule conditions.
