Hello,
The following SAP Help links might be useful to you:

Job: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/4b/6a43cfcafe11d2b49d006094b9c9b4/content.htm
Transaction PPOME is for personell administrators, while transaction PPOMW is more for workflow administrators. Transaction PPOCE and PPOCW should only be used if you want to create a new root object (orgunit) for your Organizational Plan.

Lorenz

Hi Pawan, I think I can help you out here. The difference tcode Position and Job. This is a hierarchial way to represent your org. structure. A position is a physical position an individual actually represents in a structure, e.g. Sales Manager, Sales Assistant, and Agent Telesales Inbound. A job is a representation of the 'actual' work a individual carries out from within his position(s). To a job you can assign pre-defined tasks, e.g. execute call list, set-up client meeting etc. These tasks are maintained independently in CRM and will become visible in an users activity overview once he is assigned to both a position and a the job he/she fullfills. Does this clarify your questions? Tiest.

Hi Tiest,
Thank you, your answer makes the things a bit clear for me.I'd like to know how a task is assigned to a job. In my workflow practice till now I've created an Organization ,Organizational unit under it,positions in that organizational unit(s) and assigned jobs and users to the position(s) in PPOC transaction. Here I do not understand the difference between PPOC and PPOCW trancastion. I've used the predifined users/jobs for he assignments in the organizational units.I know how to create a job(From PPOC transaction code..Edit-create job). But I do not know how to create a user(I just used drag n drop approach for user assignment). Please let me know how to create user? How to create work items(tasks),how to map events to tasks. How a workflow is triggered and how ist's configured with the system. For example how a pUrchase order triggers workflow? Please tell me what is the actual job of a workflw consultant
regards
pavan
