Hello,
If I maintain my customer warranty start and end date profiles in tcode ie01 in ECC(Creation of Equipment) do these get downloaded in CRM Install base?
There are two posts which I was able to retrieve
The one below says it is possible, link attached below.
1) http://scn.sap.com/thread/1588893
I am also mentioning the explaination given of the above post below
If a customer/vendor warranty start and end date is entered in SAP ERP for a piece of equipment, SAP CRM checks for a corresponding customer/vendor warranty in the SAP CRM system when the equipment is downloaded. If a warranty template exists for the sales area and reference product of the equipment in SAP CRM, this is automatically copied to the Warranties assignment block of the object. The warranty validity dates in this block are copied from SAP ERP
The second post says that the warranty product needs to be assigned manually
2) http://scn.sap.com/thread/2131919
the warranties in CRM and ERP are technically totally different. From the viewpoint of the initial load in the crm the product master needs to be available. The warranty is maintained as product and is assigned via a product reference to the component of the ibase. This warranty template needs to be assigned, this is a prerequisite. If than an initial load is done from the ERP the warranty start and end date is checked and set in the CRM from the ERP data
Hence I have the following questions?
1) If I do maintain the warranty start and end dates in the equipment master in ECC do these dates get replicated in the warranty material in CRM or the warranty material needs to be created separately in CRM?
2) Is there any way to create the warranty material in ECC? and replicate the same in CRM?,not able to understand this point from the above post(If a warranty template exists for the sales area and reference product of the equipment in SAP CRM, this is automatically copied to the Warranties assignment block of the object)
3) Does the warranty assignment happen automatically in ibase or do I always need to go and assign the warranty material manually in CRM?
Kind Regards
Atul
