I have a scenario wherein I have 2 websites (Site A and Site B) and the catalog from site A is the master catalog and the catalog from site B is the sub catalog that follows the structure : contentCatalogEU -> contentCatalogFR
I can create a component (in the contentCatalogEU) on a content page for site A and use the same component in site B and this works as expected.
But when I go back to the page in contentCatalogEU and edit the component and sync it , the component tied to the content slot on the page in site B gets removed.
Is there a way to share content across multiple sites which can be controlled (modify content and sync) from the master catalog ?
Any pointers and insights would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
Hello,
To share content across multiple sites while maintaining control from the master catalog, you can use a “sharing by reference” approach. This allows you to edit and sync components in the master catalog (contentCatalogEU) without removing them from the sub catalog (contentCatalogFR). Ensure that the shared components are referenced correctly in both catalogs to maintain consistency. floridablue
