hi aill,
i just going through SAP documentation for product. i came across terms like single line settypes, and multiline set types. can somebody explain me with some real time example what are those terms stands for. i already know the definitions. i need some real examples to understand.
thanks in advance.
Hello,
Settypes store product data.
Example for multi-line settype would be Tax data associated with a product.
A product can have different tax data depending on the country.
So Produc Tax data is stored in multi-line settype.
Similarly, product descriptions. Product description will vary depending on the language.
To provide you example for single line settype, you can take example of Base Unit Of Measure.
A product will have single Base Unit of measure. So Base unit of measure can be stroed as
single line settype.
In UI, you can differentiate between single and multi-line settype in which single line settype has Form View and
multi line settype has table view.
Hope this helps!
