Hello Experts,

How can we implement and process the Service Warranty in CRM?

I mean when ever a sevice is rendered , the service activity can have some warranty period attached to it.

I believe it is a standard feature in CRM service.

Hello Karthik,

You can use warrantys in processing of Business Transactions of (Service process,Confirmations, Complaints)

IMG->CRM->MD->Products>Special settings for Warranties--->Define Warranties,Define Default values for warranties.

settings for counters must have been done.


You can assign warranties to Products,Induvidual objects or installed base components.

Warranty check for the coverage of services can be done at

IMG>CRM->Transaction->Settings for service Process->Define Profile for Warranty check.

IMG>CRM>Transactions>Basic settings>define transaction types-->select the transaction type,sub dialog box,Assignment of Business transaction Categories, select Service process as Transaction category,

In the customizing header, select Warranty check profile.
