I was wondering if there is any chance to set a limit for the double opt-in confirmation mails that are defined? If not, is it possible to define a limit for a whole marketing area (independant of any campaign)?
The problem is that for some wrong system behavior of the source system, sometimes multiple pre opt-ins are sent to the SAP Marketing Cloud in order to trigger the double opt-in process. Since the behavior in the source system is not easy to fix but requires improvement of data quality, we are looking for some (temporary) workaround.
However, limits can not be set for the confirmation mail.
Therefore, we disabled the automatic confirmation email process. Instead, we set up four campaigns (one running XX:00, the other XX:15, the other XX:30 and the last one XX:45) in order to have at least a frequency of maximum 15 minutes for the confirmation mail. The campaigns send an email to customer who have a pre opt-in interaction but no confirmation outbound mail yet. The mail contains a link to a landing page where the customer can confirm the opt-in.
