Hello Community,
One of our users recently received an Outlook meeting invitation from a customer. This meeting will take place at the office of our customer, hence the correct C4C category would be the Visits object. However, by default the Outlook add-in automatically synchronizes the meeting invitation with the Appointment object and offers no possibility to select between Appointment or Visit before synchronisation. As a result, we have an actual customer visit created in C4C as appointment which is wrong.
What is the solution to avoid this to happen?
Thank you.
1. Any meeting outside the office is not automatically a visit - it might be in your use-case though 🙂
2. As of today, there is no way to do this - the only solution would be to actual create a copy of the appointment and mark this as a visit and use to for 'internal' purposes

Hello Mr. Banerjee,
I have exactly the same requirements from my users as Mr. Schmidt describes and I don't really understand your explanation.
If I create a meeting invitation in outlook I can decide whether it is a C4C appointment OR a visit. Why should this be different for incoming invitations?
And, of course, each company treats the categories "visit" and "appointment" differently. That's why it would be so important to have both categories available.
The Outlook Add-In is extremely important for increasing the use of the C4C, but if I tell my users that they should duplicate every incoming invitation, they will certainly not be enthusiastic about it.
Best regards
Fabian Orth
