Hi I need urgent help on Order creation time stamp.

We have our servers in GMT and multiple sites are in different time zone. For an example if Order is placed from India then we would like to create Order creation time in IST and same should be shown in the Backoffice.

Request you give some ideas.

Thanks & Regards,

In general, all time stamp are timezone independent and therefore persisted in GTM(UTC+0).

Timezone only become important when displaying the value. The timezone is sometime within the user's control within user preference/profile.

Hi Robin, Lets assume we if we save time in GMT at server. Scenario is we have multi-country roll out with different time zone. Each country will have separate catalog. Below are information would be needed according to Country Time Zone - 1. Backoffice - Order Dashboard/Orders – Creation Time, Delivery Time, Expiry time 2. Backoffice - POS/Base Store – Delivery Slot time 3. Backoffice - Promotions – Start/End date/time for promotions. Can back office user set their timezone and backoffice shows converted time automatically?

You could use TimeService and getCurrent time from there that you set in the order. Not the created time stamp but in order. The property is called date

You can maintain the timezone at Base store and use the same .
