I can give you one vague idea to try:

1. Note down the closing date screen field name using F1 help on the field & then technical details.

2. When you launch CRMD_ORDER, check what are the BADIs being called (from pressing ENTER to transaction launched). Check in which of these BADIs you can assign a default date to th closing date UI field.

In my view, SAP would have provided some easy way, I can try tomorrow in the system and let you know.

Thanks,

Vivek

p.s.- assign points if helpful contribution

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for the Reply... Here is the deal

I go to CRMD_ORDER

Click on New and choose the Opportunity

Enter the partner details, enter other details like status, origin etc.

Now while entering , If we dont enter Closing Date in the Opportunity, it will give a error on the error log

"Enter the Closing Date"

This is happening becasue by default the Closing Date is Mandatory in Opportunities,

My Question is

I " dont " want to have the Closing Date Mandatory. I " dont " want to enter a closing date in Opportunities.

I want to make my closing date "NON-MANDATORY" (no spelling errors) in opportunities

Hi,

Assign default value 31/12/9999 to that filed which solves your purpose without any code change.

Hi Venkat

Do the Following.

Go to T-code SE19.

Implement a BADI and use the Definition CRM_OPPORT_H_BADI.

In the interface

CRM_OPPORT_H_MERGE

Write the following code.

DATA: lv_datum like sy-datum.

if IT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES[] is initial.

lv_datum = '20991231'.

cs_opport_h_badi-expect_end = lv_datum.

endif.

Hope this works

Thanks
