Dear all,

I am creating a CAR as a installed base.

Now I want to assign three numbers to that car

(1) VIN Number

(2) Registration Number

(3) Caches No.

And based on the <b>Vin No</b> and <b>Reg. No</b> I want to find out Product Id in Service Order.

How can I do all settings?

Regards

jayesh

Hi Jayesh,

Yes you can use Individual objects as i Have suggested in one of your forum question to track such identity based entities.

Once your do that for an installed based-individual object, then based on these id you can determine the Installed base and products in your service Order.

Hi Jayesh,

1. In your install base car assign individual objects.

2. Create an individual object for each car model. In the individual object create three attributes (using set type and attribute, Tcode: Comm_attrset) for VIN Number,Registration Number,Caches No.

3. These individual objects will have the product Id in the refernce Product Id field.

4. Hence in the service order whenever the individual object is entered the Product ID field will get determined.

5. You can also ensure that the nomenclature of the Individual object is same as the registration number.

Wish the information is useful.

Hi Jayesh,

You can assign Attributes and Set types to the install base CATEGORY by using transaction

1. COMM_ATTRSET to create attributes and assign attributes to settypes

2. COMM_HIERARCHY to assign set types to CATEGORIES in a Hierarchy.

Hope it helps.

Thanks
