MS SQL indexes getting wiped out during deployment of hybris

Hello,

Any ideas on what could cause MS SQL server database indexes to get wiped out during hybris deployment?

Thanks, Greg

In recent versions of hybris, I'm not sure if this is still the case in >5.5.1, if you had custom indexes created directly in database (not defined in -items.xml ) during system update the custom indexes were dropped, when hybris compared the ezisting DB schema with the latest definition in -items.xml, one had to rerun the DDL script manually after the update or make sure indexes are defined in your *-items.xml prior to the update. This did happen in mysql again. I'm not sure if this is your case or is a different issue related to MS SQL only.

Hello Cristian,

We are running hybris v5.3.0.0 and MS SQL server 2012. Thank you for clarifying definitively that the updatesystem Ant task will wipe out custom indexes created by a DBA directly in the database and that the long term fix is to update *-items.xml to define any indexes that are meant to persist.

Thanks, Greg
