Hello Experts,
Sorry if I'm asking two questions in the same thread.
While transfer the leads using "transfer lead app" from SMC -> C4C, when the target group contains contacts which does not exist in C4C, will the standard CPI create the contact first and then create the lead? or will the CPI skip creation of the lead for that contact?
Similarly if we have target group with accounts (loaded into SMC using csv file) and which does not exist in C4C, will the system create the account which does not exist in C4C as prospect? or will the CPI skip creation of the lead for that account?
Regards
SAKSAP
Hi saksap,
on C4C side there a contact (or account) will already be created like in a "preparation" phase. So there's an ID already reserved on the database and that ID will be delivered back to SMC with Origin SAP_C4C_BUPA.
But at that time you won't find that Contact or Account in Sales Cloud under your Contacts or Accounts. So this is just a Lead. Only if you Convert your Lead into a real Contact Person and/or Account you can find them.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need further assistance or information.

Thanks Tobias for the reply. The scenario you are talking is about passing the contacts and accounts from C4C to SMC, but in our case we will load accounts and contacts from external third party system and other ERP systems like saleforce into SMC using CSV file load. In this case the contact or account does not exists in C4C. How will the system behave?
Hi saksap,
yes that's what I was already talking about. First you upload the Contacts or Accounts to SMC (e.g. with Origin SAP_ERP_CONTACT or any origin defined by you). So they have one facet for that origin with the ID that you defined in the upload template.
At the moment you hand them over to SAP Sales Cloud as leads, there's a "Lead Confirmation iFlow" triggered from direction C4C to SMC (in which C4C tells SMC "okay, your lead has been created correctly in my system"). In this iFlow there's an ID included with Origin SAP_C4C_BUPA which has been allocated by C4C at the moment the Contact arrived in C4C. But as already said before, it is not a real Contact Person in Sales Cloud. Only if you convert the lead. But the ID is already reserved on the Database and will stay the same after the conversion.
Now the Contact has two facets in SMC. The one uploaded by you and the second one with origin SAP_C4C_BUPA.
At the moment you convert the lead to a Contact Person, the Business Partner Replication iFlow is triggered from C4C to SMC.
Hope that makes it clearer.
BR Tobias
