How to remove Quick create Appointment and Calendar buttons?

Has anybody got any idea how to remove the 2 buttons above from the Quick Create bar in the UI?

Oh that's an old post! Still curious to know how to do that.

These are the buttons on the left side of the ui.

At this point in time there is no way to remove the quick create buttons if you have the authorizations to create/edit those records. As long as you put access control by role to allow only read access or no access at all (remove the work center) then it will remove the quick create from the tool bar as well as other parts of the application. Hiding/removing the buttons via page layout is just hiding the create feature from the UI.

It is planned to extend the page layout feature to also be able to hide the tool bar icons via page layout so you have flexibility where you want the "create" button to be.
