How to include an MKT area to a user's role?

Hello experts

In Customer Trips, a user can only see those that belong to their MKT area.

I've been through the documentation and it says: "To include interactions in your customer journeys that don't have a marketing area assigned, make sure your user role is also assigned to a blank marketing area. A blank marketing area is represented by a space enclosed in single quotes ('').

How can I assign a blank MKT area to a user's role?

Hi Elio,

  • go to "Maintain Business Roles" app
  • select your Business Role
  • click on "Edit"
  • click on "Maintain Restrictions"
  • Now you can choose if you want to maintain restrictions for Write, Read and/or Value Help
  • Here you can now select for example the "Marketing Area for Contacts and Profiles", Edit it and provide as value "Not maintained". Before it was always ' ' which you could also provide. But it seems that this has been replaced by the "Not maintained" value.
